Community Connections

This project uses a bank of community partners who support people with a disability to be included in work and recreation and leisure options in the Sunraysia area.

Interests and aspirations of our people are gauged through discussion, conversation with parents and carers and planning meetings. Once an interest has been established we endeavor to link up our person with a suitable volunteer who will support that person to engage in the desired activity.

Community Connections uses a range of volunteers who have all had the prescribed Police Check. Volunteers are offered an Induction Package and specific training in working with people with a disability. Volunteers work closely with the Community Connections Coordinator and Officer.
