Success for the Christie Centre at 2010 Disability Achievement Awards

On Friday 3rd December Access Mildura held it’s inaugural Disability Achievement Awards at Club Da Vinci. Entertainment for the evening included our very own Sunny Street Singers and guest speaker Kurt Fearnley who is a paralympian and has conquered the Kokoda Trail.
The Christie Centre was well represented by staff and volunteers, having finalists in 3 catagories.
George Malic and Coralie Jackson were nominated in the category Volunteer working with person/people with a disability.
Gordon Carroll was nominated in the category of Employee with a disability in and Australian Disability Enterprise.
Matt Teasdale and Dave Duffield were nominated for the Mallee Duststorm Cricket Team in the category of Disability Sector Employee.
We are proud to announce that George, Gordon and Matt and Dave all won their categories! Well done!!
A special mention must also go out to Coralie who unfortunately was just ‘piped at the post’ by George.
It was very special evening for our staff and volunteers who were recognised for the amazing work they do on a daily basis.
