Information Session for ‘Self Directed Approach to Funding’

There will be an information session held at Christie Central on Thursday 7th July, 2011, from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
During this session Josie Prioletti from Melbourne will explain the new ‘Self Directed Approach To Funding’. Self Directed Approaches (SDA) has been one of the biggest changes that has occurred in the Disability sector.With the relevant information and support SDA can make a huge difference to the lives of people with disabilities and their families.

This short workshop , conducted by Josie Prioletti will provide participants with an understanding of:
• The aims of re-orientation of disability supports
• Self-directed approaches- what does it mean?
• The implications of this approach for people with disabilities and their families ( opportunities and challenges)
• The implications of this approach for disability services
• Resources and support available for families
