    Biggest Morning Tea

    May 12, 2011

Last Tuesday Life Skills On Pine held their annual Biggest Morning Tea to raise money for Cancer Council.  We had a fantastic turn out from friends and families with staff and clients working overtime to ensure there was enough to eat and drink. Lyndell arranged a delicious Devonshire Tea with the added Aussie twist of pumpkin scones.  Georgine did a fantastic job as ambassador for the day and total funds raised for the Cancer Council was $200. Thank you to all staff and volunteers who helped out with cooking, serving and washing up.
Also on the day the Mother’s Day raffle was drawn in front of expectant ticket holders. 1st prize went to Peter Niemz which was 2 x $50 vouchers from The Rustic Olive. 2nd prize, a $100 gift voucher from Bunnings, went to Wendy Baird. 3rd prize was a gift pack from Visible Effects which was won by Kassie Hocking. 4th prize was won by Danielle Pearce, a round of golf with cart at Riverside Golf Club. 5th prize, 6 passes to the Deakin Cinema, was won by Tina Amos. We raised $785 for LSOP to go towards updating our electronic items. A big thank you to the very generous businesses who donated the prizes; The Rustic Olive, Bunnings Mildura, Visible Effects, Riverside Golf Club and Deakin Cinema Complex, we were overwhelmed by your support. And let’s not forget all those who bought and sold the tickets, it wouldn’t have been possible without your help.
So thank you from Life Skills On Pine.
