All Abilities on Show at Ararat

Last week the Mallee Duststorm travelled to Ararat to take part in the All Abilites Cricket Carnival. The group consisted of Mandy O’Neil, Amanda Doolan, Luke Heintze, Luke Hudson, Luke Richards, Chris Dowdy, Larry Higgins, Nathan Laskaj, Matt Milne, Marc Potter, Craig Charles, Domenic Pediglieri, Gavin Bowen and Daniel Wilson. The 3 staff members were Dave Duffield, Matt Teasdale and Helen Parmenter.
The carnival ran over 2 days with the Duststormers winning two matches and sustaining one loss against a “hot” Ballarat side.  Domenic, Matt and Daniel filled in with the St. Arnaud team who also had a successful run over the carnival.
Everyone enjoyed a Bar B Que tea at the Pyrenees Caravan park on the first night and tea at the Ararat RSL Club on the second, with some of the group even managing to squeeze in some shopping in the Ararat township.
Each participant received a mug with a group photo of the members of all the teams competing as well as a Certificate of Participation, and happily travelled back to Mildura to the sounds of “HOW ZAT”, “6” and “GREAT BOWLING”.
