All Abilities Cricket Carnival

Mallee Dust Storm crickers invited teams of all abilities around Victoria to compete in a carnival hosted by Mallee Sports Assembly and supported by local cricket teams. The Mildura Settlers Club has been a great supporter of the Mallee Dust Storm team, assisting them with training,making their cricket pitch available and helping out on the day.

The Mildura team has for the last few years traveled to Ararat and Cranburne to compete in a similar carnival. Enthusiasm has grown and the two Christie Centre staff members who initiated skills practise after work on Mondays have been overwhelmed with the participation of a growing number of interested players.

The event was a great success, with lots of community and family involvement. Organisers, David Duffield and Matthew Teasdale are already planning next years event when they anticipate more entries from around the State.
