Our newest program began this year teaching clients practical money skills and how to use public transport. Clients learn at Life Skills site and on trips on public transport where they are expected to put their skills to practical use.

Art and craft is about creativity and expression but just as important is the fine motor development and eye hand coordination. Some of the tasks clients engage in are glueing, tearing paper for handmade paper making and working with pastels which engages hands moving in long smooth movements and in circles. Much of the resorces used are recycled.

Clients complete contract work on site at Life Skills on Pine for businesses in the Sunraysia community. Jobs are quoted based on a basic wage. Workers’ sessions are recorded and all monies received for Contract work is then divided amongst the workers proportionately. Workers receive this pay once a term.
