A physically active program aimed at improving health and well being. Two and three wheeler bikes are available. There are 2 bike riding options available – a trail bike ride (for more competent riders) that completes a circuit at Kings Billabong Wildlife reserve or cycling around the bike route at Syd Mills Park in town which they can choose to mix cycling and walking.
A popular outdoor program which accesses a local park with good bbq facilities. People are able to enjoy the shaded walking tracks of the Irymple Green belt. The group enjoys a walk after morning tea then return to cook the bbq.
A social day out where participants enjoy morning tea and a walk by the river or in a park. At lunch time the group discuss where they would like to eat and enjoy having a nice lunch together in a club or restaurant in the local community.
The activity gives the group the opportunity to participate at a local community venue. The group forms a routine which consists of paying, collecting shoes and frame (if needed). People have opportunity to score with support if needed.
This program aims to involve people in a wide range of beauty and well being activities 1:1 with staff. These activities include facials, makeup, hair cuts and colours as well as foot spas, manicures, hand and foot massages. The group take in turns visiting community venues for special treatments.
A popular outdoor program which accesses a local park with good BBQ facilities. People are able to enjoy the shaded walking tracks and or play ball games, footy, fishing, cricket and bocce.
An outdoor program that accesses a variety of bush settings. Involves a reasonably long bush walk, nature discovery, photography, open fire / camp oven, cooking and socialisation. People in this group have the opportunity to compile a personal photographic bush walking folder to take home at the end of the year.
Each individual are involved in planning and preparing lunch and occasionally morning tea. Individuals are given the opportunity to practise a variety of domestic tasks, including chopping, grating, stirring, adding in ingredients, peeling and serving meals, setting the table and cleaning up afterwards. The group experience new foods, flavours and smells each week.
A range of activities including sensory and relaxation with music, lights and sounds in a relaxing environment. Also sensory stimulation including massages. The group also have the opportunity to work on puzzles, look at books, have a chat or do activities on the computer.
A very popular program where people get together and enjoy a lunch time meal or morning tea in the local community. The group plans where they are going for lunch each week.
Each individual experiences and develops the skill of horse riding. Volunteers lead the horses on a trail ride around Kings Billabong.
The group participate in a variety of sports at Lifestyle plus. The focus on building the knowledge and skill in tennis, netball, cricket and beach volleyball. This is a fast moving program.
The group will get time to look at individuals interests before borrowing a book for a week. The group return and spend time looking and discussing their new book.
The group enjoy morning tea down by the river and a leisurely walk. Clients choose from a range of lunch venues and a browse through the local shops. People in this group enjoy interacting with the shop assistants and seeing people they know.
Men get to experience the company of others. Developing skills in basic craft, woodwork, fishing and tree planting. The men also enjoy visiting Aroundagain, the Botanical gardens, football clinics and Kings Billabong.
This group are supported with their changing needs and also enjoy physio, exercise, craft, music and visiting the library. The group work at a slow pace and focus on their health needs.
An outdoor recreational activity program which accesses a variety of bush settings. This outing involves a shorter bushwalk and offers tactile natural stimuli provided by bark, leaves and twigs.
A group gets together to choose from a variety of activities including yabbying, fishing, farm visits, dog walking, boat rides, model planes, kite flying, and occasionally venture further and go to the Renmark reptile park and orange world.
What a way to end the week! The group go to a variety of venues where they have built great relationships. People develop independence, social skills, purchase and pay for their own drinks. Some members of the group are practising their lay by skills.

Activities aimed at stimulating the senses. Music, dressing up, singing, dancing, art and craft, bubble blowing, kite flying, going for a walk and having fun!
This program focuses on people in wheelchairs who benefit from the opportunity to move freely in the water. Physio can be done whilst in the water and it reduces pressure on points and is often the most enjoyable time. Swimming encourages physical activity, helps circulation and enjoyment. People can walk through the water, paddle using a noodle or independently, swim strokes or simply enjoy the hydrotherapy bubbles. The more competent swimmers swim laps followed by a spa.
Headed up by an experienced musician Kathy, this program caters to all skill levels. People are encouraged to participate at their individual levels, by singing along and playing musical instruments of choice.
A program with a different theme each term. Follows calendar events and participants spend time decorating the room in the theme, cooking food, playing music then finish up with a party where everyone dresses up in that theme.
This program includes people watching movies, DVD’s, music clips and going to the cinema.
